Between September and December, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM) and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), with the professional support of Corvinus University, will run a nationwide entrepreneurship development roadshow to help young people take their first steps as entrepreneurs.

From late September until December, the programme will be held in 21 cities across Hungary, offering entrepreneurship seminar days for final-year secondary school students and recent graduates. According to the Chamber’s plans, around fifty participants will then be selected to join a three-month intensive mentoring programme, launched after the roadshow closes in December with Corvinus University’s support. By spring, at least five of them will receive direct help from MKIK in setting up their own businesses.

Participation in the mentoring programme requires completion of both the MKIK’s introductory entrepreneurship course and the artificial intelligence course developed by Gábor Dénes University, ensuring applicants enter with essential knowledge.

The training series was announced this Tuesday at a press conference in Budapest by Veronika Varga-Bajusz, State Secretary for Higher Education, Vocational and Adult Education, and Youth at the Ministry. She underlined the shared goal of preparing young people for entrepreneurship, which is why the Ministry and MKIK jointly developed the entrepreneurship course.

Ákos Csókay, Secretary General of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, explained that the roadshow, organised in cooperation with vocational training centres, aims to reach students with business ideas and offer them a place in the Chamber’s mentoring programme.
