The first case-solving competition of the Tourism Club of Corvinus has taken place

2024-10-03 14:59:00

Last Friday, on the World Tourism Day, the Tourism Club of Corvinus organized a prestigious case-solving competition for undergraduate students, for the first time in its history.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

The competition was highly popular among both Hungarian and international students, with a total of 21 teams registering for the challenge. The teams were composed of students from various Hungarian universities, and the task-solving process was conducted in both Hungarian and English. The 3-member teams were tasked with finding solutions to the challenges of the Sziget Festival, and they presented their innovative ideas before a professional jury.

The festival’s colleagues, Viktória Vető (Chief Press Officier), Veronika M. Horváth (Head of Promotions), and Panna Kirsch (Junior Promotions Project Manager), assisted us in the judging process. Viola Horváth (PhD student at Corvinus University of Budapest) and two colleagues from the Department of Tourism at the Institute for Sustainable Development, Monica Coronel as a jury member and Lívia Szabóné Pintér as the chair of the jury, also contributed to raising the standard of the competition. We sincerely thank them for their participation!

The goal of the competition – much like our organization – is to promote the tourism industry and broaden students’ perspectives in this sector. On Friday, we had the opportunity to showcase the beauty of tourism to nearly 60 young individuals.

The competition was tight, as we heard some excellent ideas from the participants, but the final ranking is as follows:

1st place: Team ERA

2nd place: Danube Consulting

3rd place: XYZ Consulting

Congratulations to the winners!
