How to use Generative Artificial Intelligence at the University

Our university supports the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), especially generative AI (GAI), in education, research, and operations. We encourage you to explore these tools, while emphasising the importance of applying them ethically.
During the first week, each course coordinator will explain how generative AI can be used in their course. In some cases, you may be asked to submit an ethical statement with your assignments, projects, or exams — either confirming that you did not use GAI, or describing which tools you used and how.
To prevent misunderstandings, we recommend saving different versions of your work and making use of tracking tools.
The detailed rules are set out in the “6/2025 Regulation of the Vice-Rector for Education,” available on the university’s website. A list of useful tools and resources can also be found there, and additional AI training materials will soon be accessible on Moodle.
If you have any questions about the use of AI in a specific course, please feel free to ask your instructor.
