Erasmus+ is back! Apply for long-term study mobility in November!

Study at a university abroad, discover new cultures and make memories that will last a lifetime! Apply between 17 and 30 November!
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

You once again have the opportunity to study abroad with an Erasmus+ grant at one of Corvinus’ partner institutions. If you’ve been planning to spend a semester abroad, now is the time to prepare your application!

Long-term study mobility allows you to spend 2–12 months abroad, where you can expand your professional knowledge, gain new perspectives and build international connections. During the programme, you can take courses related to your studies and have the credits you earn recognised towards your degree at Corvinus.

When can you apply?

The application process consists of two consecutive stages:

You must complete both steps in Neptun. The mobility period can take place during the 2027/2028 academic year.

What should you check before applying?

Before you apply, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements:

Make sure you also review the list of partner institutions carefully. Check whether your chosen university accepts students at your level of study, which courses you can take there, and what language or other specific requirements it has.

When applications are assessed, academic performance accounts for 70% of the score and other professional activities for 30%.

What funding can you expect?

The Erasmus+ grant contributes to the costs of your stay abroad. Depending on your destination country, the basic monthly grant can be €540 or €600 per month in Europe, or €700 per month outside Europe. A travel grant may also be available based on the distance. In some cases, you may be eligible for additional funding.

You can find more information about the available funding on the website.

Please note that the grant may not cover the full cost of your stay abroad. You are primarily responsible for arranging your travel, accommodation and insurance, as well as managing the associated expenses.

Important: only apply if you genuinely intend to go abroad!

Erasmus+ mobility is a great opportunity, but it also comes with responsibility. If you are awarded a place at a partner institution but later decide not to go or are unable to do so, you must submit your withdrawal via a Neptun request within 15 days of receiving the application decision. If you do not do so in time, you may be holding a place that another student could have used.

If you withdraw after the deadline, you will have to pay a fee of HUF 45,000 and will not be eligible to apply the following year.

Start preparing in good time!

Don’t leave gathering your documents and selecting your partner institutions until the last minute! Check the detailed application requirements, review the partner list and get ready to make the most of your semester abroad.

You can find all the important information, the list of partner institutions, the detailed application requirements and guidance on how to apply on the University’s Erasmus+ page.
