This year’s Procurement Bar event saw the presentation of the Sustainable Procurement Awards, which recognize the best performers in the domestic procurement and sustainability industry. The award is not only a prestigious recognition, but also indicates that environmentally conscious and responsible procurement solutions are becoming increasingly important in the operation of companies.

The following companies and projects received recognition at this year’s awards ceremony

  • Grand Prize: Ericsson Hungary

  • Special Prize: Schneider Electric Hungary

Certificates of Recognition

  • Magyar Telekom Nyrt.

  • Engel Hungária Alumíniumöntöde Kft.

  • Suprajit Hungary Kft.

This year’s awards ceremony also showed that universities have an important role to play in promoting sustainable thinking. Corvinus University of Budapest was also represented on the jury: Réka Matolay, associate professor at Corvinus and founder of the Corvinus Science Shop, also took part in the decision-making process

Réka Matolay has been researching for a long time how economic development can be brought into line with social and environmental considerations. Her membership of the jury shows that the professional knowledge and values of Corvinus University help to ensure that the procurement sector also operates in an increasingly conscious manner, taking social and environmental impacts into account.
