The University Establishes the Alumni Award

At the Annual Alumni Reunion on 12 June, Corvinus University of Budapest will recognise its alumni for outstanding achievements for the first time this year. With the Alumni of the Year Award, the University will honour former students who have given back to their alma mater community through outstanding professional and/or social impact. Former students can be nominated for the award until 27 May 2025, by all university citizen with an email address at uni-corvinus.hu and stud.uni-corvinus.hu.

By establishing the Alumni of the Year Award, Corvinus University would like to emphasize the importance of a lifelong relationship between alumni and their alma mater. 

The award, which will be presented once a year in two categories, is open to all university citizens with an email address at uni-corvinus.hu and stud.uni-corvinus.hu. The nominations, accompanied by justifications, will be evaluated by a five-member committee, which will decide on the winners of the award. 

Nominations can be made in two categories: 

  • Professional Excellence Alumni Impact Award: this category is intended to recognise the achievements of alumni who have made a significant impact on their profession, their community and have actively contributed to the development of the Corvinus community through their remarkable career and/or social activities. 

 

  • Next-Generation Alumni Impact Award: in this category, this award is given to an alumni under the age of 30, who have set an example for future generations of Corvinus students through his/her professional and social activities and commitment to the University community. 

The Alumni of the Year Award will be presented in these two categories for the first time on June 12 at the university’s Annual Alumni Reunion event, by the Rector of Corvinus. 

Nominations can be submitted by May 27, 2025, using this form.
