On 12 November, in Indore, India, Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest, received the Eduniversal 5 Palmes of Excellence award. Within Eduniversal’s rating system, the 5 Palmes represent the highest level of achievement, reserved for institutions with strong global influence, extensive international networks, and outstanding academic performance. Only about one hundred business schools worldwide hold this distinction.

“It is a great honour and joy for Corvinus University to be included in Eduniversal’s highest 5 Palmes category, given to a small number of universities who have a clear global impact through their research and pedagogical projects. This international recognition confirms the direction set out in our newly adopted Bridge Strategy, which integrates internationalisation, academic excellence, and an enhanced student experience. The result clearly shows that Corvinus is becoming an increasingly integral part of the global academic and economic community, gradually strengthening its vision to evolve from a national champion status to a significant global player” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe upon receiving the award.
At the award ceremony, the three best business universities in each region were also announced. In Eastern Europe, Corvinus University of Budapest ranked second, with the Prague University of Economics and Business taking first place and the Zagreb School of Economics and Management finishing third. Corvinus has been listed among the top institutions in the region for years in the Eduniversal rankings, which are based on the confidential votes of rectors and deans from the world’s thousand leading business schools.
