Short workshop on the use of AI in research by Miklós Koren

Organized by the Economics Program of the Doctoral School of Economics and Business Informatics, Miklós Koren from CEU will hold a practical workshop in the use of AI in research. Miklós is an applied economist (you can find his work here), with a strong interest in AI. Over the past several years, he has gained extensive experience using and testing AI tools.

From Prompting to Research Workflows 

Most academic work is already structured enough for current AI models to help materially. This session shows how researchers can use agents for code, data, literature, writing, and verification without waiting for the next frontier model. We will distinguish scientific judgment, which remains human responsibility, from bounded tasks that can be delegated, checked, and improved systematically. Live demonstrations of Dodo Review and T9x will show how evidence, reproducibility, and human-AI provenance can make this collaboration trustworthy. The goal is practical: build research workflows that benefit from inexpensive models available today, while becoming more valuable as models get faster, cheaper, and more capable.
