In his lecture entitled Measuring What Matters? NGO–Government Relations across Different Regimes: Performance, Partnership, and Power, PRofessor Raeymaeckers examines how nonprofit organizations navigate growing performance pressures and tighter government control in modern welfare states. The talk explores how NGOs adapt to and resist these changes, shaping their relationship with the state.
Peter Raeymaeckers is Professor at the University of Antwerp, specializing in social policy, public administration, and the governance of social services. His research focuses on government–nonprofit relations, performance measurement in welfare services, and the role of street-level professionals in policy implementation.
