The Department of Public Policy is pleased to announce a special guest lecture titled “The Role of the Executive Branch in Making and Interpreting Law: Administrative Law and the Separation of Powers in the United States”, delivered by Professor Matthew Stephenson from Harvard Law School.

This lecture, hosted by Dr. György Gajduschek in the Comparative Administrative Law class, promises to provide valuable insights into key issues in administrative law and the separation of powers. 

Matthew Stephenson

Professor Stephenson will explore the following critical topics: 

  1. The extent to which the U.S. legislature can delegate lawmaking authority to executive branch agencies. 

  1. The controversies surrounding the role of courts in reviewing the executive branch’s interpretations of laws. 

 

The lecture will be an interactive session with plenty of time for Q&A and discussions. This is an excellent opportunity for both students and faculty to engage with a leading expert from one of the most prestigious law schools in the world.
