Special Session of CoCoCo 2026
Led by Dr. Erika Darics and Momentán Társulat, this special session takes the form of a live improvisational theatre performance in English and Hungarian. Rather than simply explaining how language can frame realities, shape relationships, and communicate ideology, the session invites participants to experience these dynamics directly through performance.
Developed in connection with the CLADES project on Critical Language Awareness, Democratic Engagement and Sustainability, the session offers creative intervention into academic communication. It demonstrates how awareness can become an agency by helping audiences notice, feel, and experiment with the social power of language in ways that are immediate, reflective, and action oriented.
This Special Session is part of the Corvinus Communication Conferences, CoCoCo 2026, which addresses resistance, rebellion, and reinvention in communication and media studies. Besides the special sessions, the conference also brings together nearly 70 researchers and professionals in multiple sessions on April 24 at the Corvinus Main Building. The event is organized by the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences.
