Hybrid rooms enable students to get involved in seminars from remote locations and participate in classroom discussions and group work, while a group of students – and also the lecturer – are present in person in such rooms.

The Senate of Corvinus University held its first meeting of the academic year, covering topics such as international accreditation processes, preparations for launching a bachelor’s degree called Data Science in Business, and the appointment of associate professors.

Corvinus has 50 student organisations.

The title of the information protection thesis of the year was awarded to Tamás Fehér, undergraduate student of business informatics, with his thesis titled ‘Információbiztonság irányítási rendszer alapelvek alkalmazása okosotthon környezetben’ (Application of information security control system principles in a smart home environment).

The Institute of Communication and Sociology, together with the Department of Communication and Media at Corvinus University of Budapest, is glad to announce its first Blog Post Competition entitled “Self, Screen, Success” focusing on crucial issues of New Media and Mobile Technology.

This multiple case study explored educational technology-integration expert teachers’ beliefs about and experiences with nurturing creativity in technology-enhanced learning environments. Data was collected through qualitative methods (interviews, classroom observations, document analysis) from 12 purposefully sampled technology-integration expert secondary school teachers of six curricular areas, and their students. Analysis revealed that expert teachers’ epistemic beliefs about creativity influenced their technology-based creativity fostering practices, with beliefs about assessment constituting a considerable barrier.

This paper proposes an integrative methodological approach called grounded survey for understanding behavioral factors behind household energy consumption. It combines participatory-systems-mapping with a quantitative survey.

The Professorial Board was created to represent the academic values and traditions of the University, and its members include all full-time professors and research professors employed by the University.

Tamás Solymosi, Professor of the Institute of Mathematical and Statistical Modelling, was awarded the 2021 Béla Krekó Prize, which is awarded once a year by the Hungarian Society for Economic Modelling in recognition of outstanding and valuable professional work.

In 2021, the first prize of the UNESCO Clubs 2021 Worldwide Youth Multimedia was awarded to Anna Ryan, a 20-24 year old student of the Department of International Relations of our university, who graduated last year.
