Social Media Guide for Parents Created by Corvinus Students

Students of the Department of Communication and Media in cooperation with the Digital Child Protection Strategy of Hungary have created a social media guide for parents to help their orientation in the online world of their children.

 The booklet contains of 21 social media platforms and applications, including the most popular social networking sites, messaging apps and video games, which were examined, tested and analysed by the students of Communication and Media Studies, who are active users of these platforms.


The guide provides an informative summary of the most important information on these social media platforms: their main characteristic features, age classification, risks and potentials as well as the most essential privacy questions.

The cooperation between Corvinus University of Budapest and the Digital Child Protection Strategy of Hungary was implemented within the course of Media Literacy and coordinated by Veronika Pelle. The electronic version of the booklet can be downloaded free of charge from here.
