The campus of the future

The Corvinus Gellért Campus is Hungary’s most sustainable educational institution. The University’s inspiring, sustainable, and future-oriented campus adds a new dimension to education, research, and collaboration, symbolizing what the university of the future looks like.

The building, owned by the Maecenas Universitatis Corvini Foundation, was developed in line with the University’s goals, based on a jointly formed vision.

The campus’s sustainable operation and approach are also confirmed by prestigious awards: in 2024 it received LEED Gold certification and won the “Green Investment of the Year” award at the Green Awards, and it was also named “Green Building of the Year” by ÉVOSZ.

Sustainability

The Gellért Campus was developed with a comprehensive integration of sustainability principles, and it also reflects this approach in its operations. The architectural and operational solutions applied create an environmentally conscious, future-oriented university environment.

Preservation

The campus was realized by rethinking an existing building, significantly reducing environmental impact.

Mobility

The Campus encourages sustainable modes of transport: 170 bicycle storage spaces and reduced parking capacity.

Energy

The Campus’s energy supply is based on renewable sources and modern building engineering systems, with reduced energy demand.

Community

The Campus is the result of a participatory design process and actively builds on sustainability initiatives in its operations as well.

Green environment

The Campus includes a 1.1-hectare biodiversity park, which is an open and sustainably designed community space.

Material usage

Recycling and resource-efficient solutions play a key role on the Campus.

Access

  • By public transport: the campus is a 5-minute walk from Gárdonyi Square and a 7-minute walk from Móricz Zsigmond Square, which is served by tram lines 47/49 and Metro Line 4, among others.
  • By bicycle or scooter: bicycle storage is available both at the main entrance and the dormitory entrance.
  • By car: a limited number of parking spaces are available on campus; parking is also possible on nearby streets or in a parking garage located a 5-minute walk from the campus.
  • The building is fully accessible via the main entrance at 9 Mányoki Road.
