WIPO Scholarship for MSc in Intellectual Property Management
A programme with global relevance
The postgraduate programme offers a comprehensive foundation in the strategic management of intellectual property (IP) at both national and international levels. Students will:
- learn to manage intellectual property strategically in diverse economic and regulatory environments
- gain interdisciplinary knowledge across law, economics and business to support the protection, valuation and commercialisation of innovative products and ideas
- develop strong analytical and decision-making skills through case studies and interdisciplinary work
Scholarship details
The scholarship is funded directly by WIPO – World Intellectual Property Organization and is designed to cover the full tuition fee for the entire duration of the programme (two semesters).
Applicants must follow a two-step process:
- apply to the programme through Corvinus University’s application platform as a feepaying applicant;
- submit a separate scholarship application on WIPO’s dedicated application interface.
The application deadline for the scholarship is 31 May 2026.
Credit and admissions requirements
A total of 36 ECTS credits is required for admission, of which at least 24 must already be completed; any missing credits must be obtained in line with the university’s study and examination regulations:
- Methodology (analysis, linear algebra, probability, statistics): 12 ECTS (up to 6 ECTS may be completed as catchup courses)
- Programming skills: 12 ECTS (up to 6 ECTS as catchup)
- Economics: 12 ECTS (all 12 ECTS may be completed as catchup)
Admission to the programme includes an online written exam, consisting of a 100-minute online test that assesses:
- language proficiency
- quantitative and analytical reasoning
- logical thinking and data interpretation skills
The exam does not measure prior academic knowledge; instead, it evaluates applicants’ analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Rolling admissions give you the opportunity to take the online written exam as soon as you are ready.
