What do we expect from our leaders today? — an interview with László Eszes, Director of Corvinus-SEED, on Index

László Eszes, director of the Corvinus-SEED Executive School, has been working in the field of change management for 20 years, whilst gaining several decades’ experience in senior management both in Switzerland and Hungary. He believes we need to rethink the role of change: employees do not need yet more promises that ‘it will be easier in just six months’ time’, but rather credible leaders who are able to offer hope even in the face of an uncertain future.
In an interview with Index, he also explains why people do not reject change itself, how self-awareness and the opportunity for independent decision-making relate to change management, and why the leadership model in which change always has an ‘end’ is outdated. The conversation also reveals how organisations that are quick to adapt and ready for change can be built. The full article can be read on Index.
