We have the finalists for the Budapest final of the Danube Cup student startup competition

Student teams from 11 universities presented their startup ideas in the competition. The Danube Cup aims to promote entrepreneurial thinking and the development of the startup ecosystem among universities in the Danube countries. The competition gives students the opportunity to present themselves internationally, build relationships and get real feedback on their business ideas.
The ten teams and their start-up ideas that made it to the semi-finals are:

LawAI – contract management and law change tracking software that uses artificial intelligence to support compliance work;

TrackWise – an AI-based logistics optimization solution that analyzes maintenance patterns and reduces costs;

Brewcycle – sustainable brewing technology that uses recycled raw materials;

ARport Hungary – augmented reality-based navigation and workflow management system for airports;
-
Gradient – digital attendance system to replace paper-based solutions in education, with real-time feedback and AI analytics;

RocketMIND – a gamified platform for teaching STEM subjects;
-
FinAsk – an AI-based financial data analysis tool targeting financial analysts in the Adria region;

Tennis Mate – tennis court booking and player matchmaking application;
-
OnlyFootball (runner-up) – a social platform for football fans;
-
OnlyPass (runner-up) – digital access card solution for industrial buildings and hotel chains.
In the semi-finals, the teams had to present their business concept in a 4-minute pitch and then answer questions from a panel of professional judges. The judges were renowned entrepreneurs, academics and investors from the region. The finalist teams will receive valuable business mentoring and the final winners will be awarded cash prizes in Budapest, 22-24 May.
