Research Fellowships in Global Southeast Asia

The Institute of Global Studies and CIAS are launching Research Fellowships in Global Southeast Asia to further scholarship on Southeast Asia in Hungary and the broader Eastern European region; to facilitate research contacts between the two regions; and to further strengthen the University’s existing expertise on Asian economics, societies, politics, and the environment.

Applications are accepted for a Senior and a Junior Fellowship.
Priority in the 2026-27 academic year will be given to scholars working in the following fields:

security studies;

migration studies;
-
sustainability and the environment;
-
supply chain geoeconomics;
-
research on links and comparisons between Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
