UNHCR-UNGDS Student Digital Marketing Competition

During the month of June, the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences held a competition for M.A. students in Digital Marketing, Visibility, and Corporate Branding Strategy on behalf of the UN Refugee Agency, Global Disposal Services.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

The campaign was launched after an information session held at the end of May by Israel Carrizales, the Head of Assets and Fleet Management at UNHCR-UNGDS, and several members of his team. M.A. students from the Marketing Program and the Communication and Media Sciences Program took part. Presentations were held on July 6, students submitted full proposals to the UNGDS team, and an award ceremony took place at Corvinus on July 8.

The first prize for Best Overall Campaign Strategy went to Rhona Nantege, Mary Anne De Leon, and Beyza Yilmaz (CommMedia M.A.) for their #PassTheKeys campaign. Purevbat Bolorchuluun (CommMedia M.A.) won Best Internal Campaign Design for Full Circle. Finally, Best Visual Identity went to Mansur Zarobekov (Marketing M.A.) and Fakhriddin Ismoilov (external participant) for their campaign AssetsServeMission. All winning participants received iPads in recognition of their contribution, and have been strongly encouraged to apply for internships at the UNHCR.

In the Fall 2026 semester, we expect to launch another UNHCR competition of this kind, possibly in cooperation with M.A. Programs in other Institutes. Further information on this will also be available on the Intranet.
