The Trefort Ágoston Award (Higher Education Category) may be conferred by the Minister of Culture and Innovation on employees of higher education institutions in recognition of outstanding work carried out over an extended period in support of education. Each year, no more than ten individuals may receive this award.

On 11 December 2025, Ágnes Wimmer also received the prestigious Trefort Ágoston Award in the Higher Education category at a ceremony held at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in Gödöllő.

Ágnes Wimmer has been a faculty member at Corvinus University (and its legal predecessors) since 1993, first at the Department of Corporate Economics, later at the corresponding Institute, then at the Department of Decision Sciences within the Institute of Operations and Decision Sciences. She is currently a professor at the Department of Business Economics of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. For more than three decades, she has been an active contributor to the university’s teaching, educational development, talent management, research activities, and institutional development initiatives.

Her teaching and research activities are wide-ranging, covering areas such as corporate performance measurement and management, logistics performance measurement, decision theory, value creation, the evaluation and management of business relationships, and the assessment of corporate and managerial capabilities. She has contributed to the development and continuous improvement of numerous courses and degree programs at both graduate and postgraduate levels, and she is a core member and supervisor at the Doctoral School of Business and Management. Her work in science organization is equally extensive, and she is active in both higher education and the academic sphere. She serves as Chair of the Interdisciplinary Standing Committee on Logistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, is a member of the Committee for Economic Sciences (GTB), and Vice Chair of the GTB Publication Excellence Award Working Committee, representing the Subcommittee on Industrial and Business Economics.

The development of student research and talent support has always played a central role in her career: she was the founding Chair of the Corvinus University Student Scientific Association Council (ETDT) and is a member of its Advisory Board. For more than fifteen years, she has been a member of the Professional Committee for Economics of the National Student Scientific Association (OTDT), where, as Vice Chair, she actively supports the development opportunities of future generations of researchers at the national level. Her contributions to talent development have previously been recognized with prestigious awards, including the OTDT Master Teacher Gold Medal and the OTDK70 Badge

We warmly congratulate Ágnes Wimmer and sincerely thank her for her outstanding work
