The Department of Sociology was well represented at the annual meeting of the Hungarian Sociological Association (MSZT), which was held under the title "Sciological Knowledge and Community" at the University of Miskolc between 14-15 October 2022.

Beáta Nagy, the current President of the MSZT, opened the meeting which was attended by 170 sociologists from across the country. The Polányi Prize was awarded to Luca Kristóf, Assiociate Professor of Institute of Social and Political Sciences, for best book in sociology in 2021.
