The Largest University Sports Event in Europe Is About to Begin

The prestigious competition will welcome nearly 4,500 student-athletes and sports professionals from across the continent. This year’s Games will bring together representatives from 30 countries and more than 160 universities, with over 400 teams competing in 13 sports across more than 30 venues. 

Representing Corvinus University of Budapest this year is the men’s B33 basketball team, featuring Bendegúz Gazdag, Koppány Jenei, Dániel Szántó and Mihály Szilágyi. The team will compete under the guidance of Csaba Vladár and Gabriella Kováts. 

But the European Universities Games are about much more than intense competition. Beyond the courts, participants will experience Salerno’s breathtaking coastline, thousands of years of history, fascinating legends, and the unmistakable passion of southern Italy.
