The first Science Shop podcast episode is now available

As previously reported in an intranet news article, the Corvinus sustainability podcast series launched on 31 August as the result of an award-winning educational innovation. The episodes were produced during the autumn semester of 2025 by third-year students in the Communication and Media Studies programme as part of their Communication of Responsibility and Sustainability course. The series focuses on three areas: in addition to the Corvinus Library and the office of the Dean for Sustainability, six episodes are dedicated to the Science Shop and its community partners. 

In the episode released on Monday, Science Shop Manager Nikoletta Nagy talks to Orsolya Polyacskó, Chair of the Board of the Ferencváros Community Foundation. The Foundation is one of our longest-standing community partners, and through its collaboration with us, many Corvinus students have had the opportunity to engage with local communities and learn about the key issues affecting them through course projects. 

The podcast explores what students gain from taking part in these projects as part of their university studies, as well as how the community partner sees the value of this kind of collaboration, exchange and thinking together. Orsi also talks about community foundations, which offer a unique way of strengthening local communities.
