The 2026 Corvinus Summer University Successfully Concludes
The 2026 Corvinus Summer University (Corvinus Summer University 2026) has successfully concluded in an international atmosphere. The flagship summer programme of Corvinus University of Budapest provided academic and cultural experiences for participants over two weeks, from 6–11 July and 13–18 July. The programme was organised for the second time, and for the first time by the Talent Management Centre, under the professional guidance of Zsolt Főző and Dr Károly Vizdák, further strengthening the university’s international presence.
This year’s programme welcomed 67 talented students from 25 countries around the world, providing them with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and build lifelong connections. Participants not only experienced the academic excellence of the university but also had the opportunity to explore the values and attractions of Budapest. During the first week, the programme took place at the modern Gellért Campus, while the second week’s lectures were hosted in the C Building.
The professional programme offered intensive and high-quality academic experiences. During the first week, students could choose from four different courses covering current economic and social topics, while the second week continued with a specialised programme offering deeper insights into selected fields. The significance of the event was also highlighted by the active participation of university leadership: during the first week, Rector Bruno van Pottelsberghe personally welcomed students arriving from all over the world, while participants of the second session were greeted by Dr Judit Nagy, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, who emphasised the importance of international community building.

In addition to academic and practical training, the organisers placed strong emphasis on community-building and social activities. The evening and weekend programmes were highly popular among participants. Highlights included an early evening Danube cruise, during which students could admire Budapest from the river, as well as the pub crawl and rowing programme on Margaret Island. The university’s innovative Makerspace workshop also opened its doors to participants, allowing them to explore creative technologies, while the group beach trip provided a great opportunity to relax and connect during the summer heat.
Both parts of the two-week programme concluded with an elegant farewell dinner, where students had the opportunity to celebrate their shared experiences, say goodbye to each other and the university, and exchange their favourite memories. Participants completed the programme with positive experiences and new insights. Corvinus University of Budapest hopes that students will gladly return to Budapest in the future – either as participants of the next Summer University programme or as students of one of the institution’s bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programmes.
