SOLVE IT! McKinsey Case Study Competition & Problem Solving Preparation Day
2024-02-01 12:52:00McKinsey's Budapest office is organizing its 25th Case Study Competition.
The competition will give students the opportunity to stretch their imagination and come up with innovative solutions to the day to day challenges faced by McKinsey consultants.
What to expect
The first stage of this competition consists of a Problem Solving Test (Digital Assessment). The top 20 students will be chosen based on the test results and studies/ professional experiences. They will have the opportunity to attend a Problem Solving Preparation Day and will go to the finals (participation on the preparation day is not mandatory).
During the preparation day attendees will work in teams, learn how to solve complex problems in the McKinsey way, experience working in teams under time pressure, have a lot of fun while doing so and we will close the day with a fantastic team event!
In the final students will be presented with a business case study. They will have to prepare and then present their case study solutions individually to the jury from McKinsey & Company.
The award of the first three places are as follows:
- 1st place: 1 400 000 HUF
- 2nd place: 800 000 HUF
- 3rd place: 600 000 HUF
Do not hesitate to apply if you have an active student status (students in their 2nd & 3rd year of bachelor, or 1st & 2nd year of master studies) and speak fluent Hungarian and English.

Preparation day: 1 March 2024
Final: 8 March 2024
