Soccer Tournament at Corvinus Sports Week

The organizers accepted a total of 17 teams for this year’s tournament. The matches were hosted at the Corvinus SportCenter on the Gellért Campus. As in previous years, a key priority this time was to ensure that every participating team could play in as many matches as possible, thereby enhancing the sporting experience and the joy of competition.
The teams competed in a round-robin format during the group stage, after which the top eight teams advanced to a single-elimination bracket. At this stage, every match carried significant weight: the winning team advanced, while the losing team was eliminated from the tournament.
Fans in attendance were treated to high-quality, fast-paced, and thrilling matches. The teams played at a rapid pace, spicing up the games with numerous outstanding individual performances and spectacular plays. Throughout the tournament, several close matches full of twists and turns contributed to the final standings only becoming clear as the competition progressed.
