Practicality, science, and personal experiences at the second MBA Winter University

The second Winter University of the Corvinus MBA (Master of Business Administration) program took place between February 12 and 15, 2026, and was once again held in the Tokaj wine region, in Abaújszántó. The second MBA Winter University was a great success. It was a unique extracurricular activity for MBA students, featuring four professional workshops, excursions, and culinary events.
According to the students, the Winter University offered a great opportunity to meet outside the classroom, talk freely, and build relationships. The beautiful surroundings of the Tokaj Wine Region provided the perfect backdrop for these enriching interactions, broadening the participants’ global horizons. The students found it particularly interesting to experience rural Hungary.
The workshops were particularly useful as they addressed important issues in the professional, academic, and personal lives of MBA students. This holistic approach not only broadened their horizons but also deepened their understanding of fundamental MBA topics in an international context. The workshops and their leaders:
- Elias Baba: Presenting Skills
- Haya Saadeh, Vanessa Diaz Rubio, Csaba Vecsernyés: Design Your Career!
- Dániel Soós: Trial by Fire: This is NOT a Case Study. Business Game Simulations and Activities
- Eduardo Sanjay Ramon Reyes: The Impostor Syndrome
Overall, Winter University fostered a strong sense of global community, bringing people together and creating lasting connections. It was a defining event that combined intellectual challenges with cultural immersion, reflecting the university’s strategy of strengthening international relations.
The main organizers of the event were Bulcsú Hoppál and Miklós Kozma, lecturers at Corvinus University. Special thanks go to all the administrative staff at Corvinus who helped make the event possible.
The II. Winter University of MBA once again demonstrated how learning and relaxation can be combined in a historical setting. The workshops of the four-day, three-night program were related to MBA subjects and teaching methods. Special thanks go to all the administrative staff at Corvinus who helped make the event happen.
We look forward to similarly enriching experiences in the future, at the third winter university!
