Partnership for the Business Talents of the Future – Deloitte and Corvinus University of Budapest Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

The long-term strategic agreement has recently been signed on behalf of the university by Rector Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs György Lajos Szabó, and Head of Corporate and Institutional Relations Dávid Baranyai, while Balázs Bíró, CEO, and Sándor Laczka, Managing Director, represented Deloitte Hungary.
“Our cooperation with Deloitte exemplifies how academic knowledge and market practice can come closer together. Through our strategic partnerships, we create real opportunities for our students to gain direct insight into the current challenges and expectations of the business sector. We believe that collaborations like this not only improve the quality of education but also help retain talent in Hungary and prepare the future economic decision-makers,” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest.
“We are proud to partner with Corvinus University, one of Hungary’s leading higher education institutions, and we hope this marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration. Our goal is to help students develop the skills that are in demand on both the domestic and international labour markets. In addition to talent development, we also support innovative educational initiatives that equip students with practical knowledge and skills, helping them advance professionally and launch successful careers,” said Balázs Bíró, CEO of Deloitte Hungary. He added that as a global consultancy, Deloitte is committed to supporting education and the training of future professionals, maintaining close partnerships with numerous universities worldwide.
As part of the strategic partnership effective from October, Deloitte consultants will give guest lectures within Corvinus’ educational programmes, contribute to developing course curricula by suggesting areas relevant to academic directors, and participate in the university’s International Business Advisory Board. In addition, students will have the opportunity to work on real business challenges provided by Deloitte as part of practical project assignments, under the supervision of our full time faculty.
Corvinus has been consciously building its network of strategic partners for several years, and now has cooperation agreements in place with nearly twenty leading companies – from banks and energy firms to international consultancy organisations.
