Starting from April 10, the university has appointed a new interim Head of Strategy: for the next eight months, Dr. Róbert Dobay holds this position. His responsibilities include finalizing the new Institutional Development Plan (IDP), ensuring that the new key performance indicators align with the upcoming strategy, and overseeing the university’s ranking strategy and accreditation processes.
Dr. Róbert Dobay brings extensive experience in organizational transformation and strategic planning. He is the founder and managing director of the consultancy and think tank Menedzsmentor, and has previously held senior executive roles at major international companies such as IBM and Getronics. He earned his PhD at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he currently teaches as an associate professor.
The aim of this interim period is to ensure that the university continues to move forward smoothly with the implementation of its strategic goals while the position is filled permanently through an open recruitment process.
A new head will also take over the accreditation team, which reports directly to the Head of Strategy, as of April 28. Dr. Meeta Kumar will assume this role. Her responsibilities include developing the institution’s accreditation portfolio and overseeing the effective execution of future accreditation processes, in close collaboration with professional bodies as well as academic and administrative staff of the university.
Dr. Meeta Kumar has over 20 years of experience in higher education and quality assurance, with a particular focus on international accreditations. Most recently, she managed the international accreditation processes (AACSB, EQUIS) at one of India’s leading business schools, the Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong). She holds a doctoral degree in algorithms and optimization, and as a faculty of Computer Science, she taught subjects including algorithms, Java and web technologies, data structures, and systems programming.
We welcome Róbert and Meeta to Corvinus and wish them great success in their new positions.
