New acting dean is responsible for artificial intelligence at Corvinus

As of September 1, 2026, Professor Ádám Balázs Csapó, member of the Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems and the Corvinus Institute for Advanced Studies (CIAS) international research center, holds the position of Dean for Artificial Intelligence. His temporary mandate will last until the successful conclusion of the dean selection process.
Ádám Balázs Csapó earned his degree in computer engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 2014, he obtained his PhD in computer science from the same institution. As a visiting researcher, he conducted research in Trondheim at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2008, and in Tokyo at the University of Tokyo between 2008 and 2010. Following his return to Hungary, he worked as a research fellow at the MTA Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI) for six years (2010–2016).
He joined Corvinus University of Budapest in September 2023, and was appointed full professor in March 2025. His primary area of research is cognitive infocommunications (CogInfoCom), focusing on the modeling of human cognitive capabilities and the synthesis of new cognitive capabilities in information systems—particularly within 3D and multimodal information spaces. We wish him every success in his role as dean.
At the same time, we would like to express our gratitude to the outgoing dean, Csaba Csáki, for his work during his tenure. He continues his lecturing and research activities as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems. We wish him every success in his work and future career!
