MyView from Lecturers’ Perspectives: Why Does Your Opinion Matter?

Through MyView, lecturers receive feedback at the end of each semester on how students experienced their courses, which teaching methods proved effective, and where improvements may be needed. 

But what does this mean for lecturers? 

Lívia Valéria Pintér, master lecturer at the Corvinus Institute of Sustainable Development, looks forward to receiving the MyView results at the end of every semester. For her, student feedback not only marks the end of a course but also plays a key role in planning for the next semester. 

“The numerical results and written comments provide a sense of closure for the course. They confirm or sometimes challenge the work we have done during the previous months and play a crucial role in shaping what comes next.” 

According to Lívia, feedback is particularly important because teaching methods that work well with one group of students may not necessarily be as effective with another. MyView results therefore give lecturers the opportunity to reflect on their teaching methods and incorporate the feedback of the students into the next course. 

“The changing patterns in MyView results are both exciting and thought-provoking, encouraging us to rethink our approaches and reflect on our teaching practices. The three minutes our students spend completing MyView help shape the direction of the next semester and reinforce the high standards of teaching at our University.” 

Where and when can you complete MyView? 

• You can find the questionnaires in the Questionnaires section of Neptun. 
• The questionnaire for each course becomes available during the week of your final class. 
• You have until 19 December to complete the questionnaires.
