Melinda Jászberényi Awarded the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Prize

The Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Prizes, the highest state honors in the field of tourism, were presented in a ceremonial setting. These awards are given each year to recognize professionals whose outstanding work significantly contributes to Hungarian tourism.

At the ceremony held on November 27, a total of nine recipients were honored across three categories by Dr. Anikó Túri, Administrative State Secretary, and Katalin Egresitsné Firtl, CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency. Established in 2019, the award aims to highlight those whose long-term, high-level professional achievements drive the development of tourism in Hungary. 

Among this year’s distinguished awardees is Dr. Melinda Jászberényi, lecturer at the Department of Tourism of Corvinus University of Budapest. Her award recognizes her exceptional accomplishments in education and scientific research. Her decades of work as a researcher, educator, and organizer have significantly shaped the future of tourism, particularly in the areas of sustainability, cultural tourism, and innovation.
