Let’s make a real impact on sustainability – the Positive Impact Rating survey is launching

This year, our University is joining the international Positive Impact Rating (PIR) survey, which examines how business and economics higher education institutions contribute to social and environmental sustainability.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Launched in 2020, PIR is a global initiative that differs from traditional rankings: it does not create competition, but points to areas for development. Institutions are not placed in a league table; instead, they are presented in alphabetical order within performance levels, encouraging cooperation and shared learning. The focus is not on who is “the best in the world”, but on who does the most for the world.

Corvinus University of Budapest has joined the PIR global survey, which collects feedback from both students and faculty. The questionnaire asks, among other things, how sustainability and social responsibility are reflected in teaching, institutional operations and everyday university culture. International experience shows that institutions actively use PIR results to launch new initiatives, support curriculum development and underpin strategic decision-making.

When and how can you take part?

Faculty and students at the University can complete the anonymous questionnaire between 9 and 28 February 2026. It takes around 5 minutes.

Taking part is a genuine opportunity to ensure that the community’s feedback feeds into the processes shaping the University’s sustainable future. We kindly ask Corvinus students to complete the survey
