From North America to Asia, International Community Supported Agriculture Day is celebrated at the end of February. It is one of the shortest forms of food supply, in which families contract directly with the farmer for a full season, who in return provides fresh vegetables. In our country, the period runs until the end of March, when customers can sign up for the current season, giving them access to high-quality, local, seasonal and pesticide-free food every week in exchange for a fixed price.

On Saturday 24 February, the Association welcomed visitors with community farm presentations, technical presentations, interesting round-table discussions, craft activities and children’s activities.

The opening ceremony was held by Professor Ágnes Zsóka, Vice Rector for Academic Development of Corvinus University of Budapest, who emphasised that she was very pleased with the cooperation, as sustainability and responsibility are strategic priorities for the University. The round table on the opportunities for community farming was chaired by Dr. Dániel Havran, Dean of the University, who has been helping community farmers with financial planning for several years. The discussions will be available on the Association of Conscious Consumers YouTube channel

The dedicated farmers and their communities are welcoming new members to 28 farms this year. Find out more about available places here.
