The autumn exam period is approaching, but don’t worry — here is everything you need to know.

The end of the autumn semester is almost here, and soon you can take a well-deserved break. Before that, there is still an exam period to get through. We’re sure you will do well, but if this is your first exam period or you just need some extra guidance, this summary will help.

We’ve collected the most important deadlines and information to make this period easier for you. 

Exam period for students not taking the Final Exam: 

Exam period: 

15-20.12.2025 (1 week) 

05-24.01.2026 (3 weeks) 

 

When do you have to apply? 

  • Bachelor and single-cycle programmes: 24 November 2025 (from 10:00) – 23 January 2026 (until 12:00) 

 

  • Master, postgraduate specialist training, part-time and preparatory programmes, and international programmes (CEMS, Erasmus): 
    24 November 2025 (from 14:00) – 23 January 2026 (until 12:00) 

 

 

  • Guest students (FM, SA): 24 November 2025 (from 09:00) – 23 January 2026 (until 12:00) 

 

Exam period for students taking the Final Exam: 

  1.  (1 week)

  • You must register for your exams in Neptun. Students who do not register cannot take the exam. 

 

  • You may modify your exam registration no later than 12:00 noon on the working day before the exam. 

 

  • Some courses offer an “offered gradebased on performance during the semester. You can accept this (for coursework or exam grades) in Neptun no later than the last day of the second week of the exam period. 

 

  • If your first exam does not go as planned, you may retake it up to two times within the same exam period. 

 

  • The first retake is free of charge. Any further retakes require a fee, as specified in the RSFB.
