Five QS Business Master’s rankings feature Corvinus University for the first time

Corvinus University of Budapest has entered all five QS Business Master’s Rankings, standing as the only Hungarian institution in four categories and the highest-ranked Hungarian university in Management, while its MBA placed 58th in Europe.

The latest rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the world’s best-known higher education ranking organisations, mark a significant expansion of the University’s international presence. Released on 16 September, the 2027 edition covers Business Master’s programmes in Finance, Management, Marketing, Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management, alongside the global and regional rankings of full-time MBA programmes.

Among the five subject rankings, Corvinus’ Advanced Supply Chain Management Master’s programme ranked 85th, its Marketing programme placed 101–110th, while its Management and Leadership Master’s programme ranked 131–140th. Both the Finance Master’s programme and the Business Analytics programme placed in the 151–200 range. Corvinus also ranked 161–170th in the Global MBA ranking and 58th in the European MBA ranking. Corvinus is the only Hungarian institution represented in the these rankings except the Management category, where it is the highest-ranked Hungarian university (the University of Pécs is placed in the 201+ band).

The highest-ranking programme associated with Corvinus remains the CEMS Master in International Management. Available in Hungary exclusively at Corvinus, the programme once again ranked 4th out of 256 programmes in the QS Masters in Management global ranking, placing it among the top 2% worldwide.

“This year’s results mark an important milestone for Corvinus’ international visibility. It is particularly valuable for us that our own Master’s programmes have entered the QS global rankings for the first time, while CEMS continues to rank among the very best in the world. This is strong recognition that our programmes are gaining increasing attractiveness in international higher education comparisons,” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest.

The QS Business Master’s Rankings 2027 assess business Master’s programmes across five subject areas. In addition to the 256 programmes included in the Management ranking, this year’s rankings feature 286 Finance, 234 Business Analytics, 214 Marketing and 142 Supply Chain Management programmes. QS ranked 423 programmes in its Global MBA ranking and 113 programmes in its European MBA ranking. The assessment considers graduate employability, the professional, leadership and entrepreneurial achievements of alumni, value for money, academic performance in the relevant subject areas, and student and faculty diversity.

Among the institutions leading the rankings, HEC Paris took first place in Management and Marketing, while the US-based MIT, topped the Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management and Global MBA rankings. Oxford Saïd Business School ranked first in Finance, and Cambridge in the European MBA ranking.
