Epidemic measures in the new academic year

Current order of education

Academic year 2021/2022 will start with in-presence education at the Corvinus in September, but we are ready to change for on-line education, too, should the epidemic situation deteriorate during the year.  On each campus of the Corvinus, the following training organisation rules are valid:

  • Lectures in Hungarian attended by more than 150 people, and lectures in English or German attended by more than 60 people – ONLY ON-LINE
  • Lectures in Hungarian attended by less than 150 people, and lectures in English or German attended by less than 60 people – IN THE CLASSROOM.
  • Seminars and other practical lessons – CLASSROOM
  • Thesis consultations – ON-LINE AND IN PERSON
  • Specialist postgraduate programmes and executive degree programmes – CLASSROOM
  • Non-degree programmes – ON-LINE AND CLASSROOM
  • Part-time programmes – CLASROOM

Use of face masks and entry procedures

When entering the buildings, face masks are not mandatory, but body temperature monitoring is.

Opening hours of buildings

  • Until 19.00 on weekdays (but you can stay inside until 22.00)
  • On Saturdays and Sundays, the buildings are CLOSED (operators of the infrastructure may stay in the buildings even after opening hours with the chancellor’s permission)

Buffets may operate, they may serve only the staff and the students of the University. The University’s sports facilities will be open, but apart from PE lessons, they may be used with immunity cards or certificates only (electronic or physical).

   Use of the University Library

  • In order to protect our visitors and the staff of the library, we recommend the wearing of face masks in the library.
  • Please keep social distancing!
  • In the reading rooms and e-labs, only places with chairs can be used. The chairs may not be moved to other places.
  • Please use the hand sanitizers made available!

Dormitories

Residents may receive visitors every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Only a residents with a immunity sertficate card can receive maximum 1 person with a security card at a time.

Travel restrictions

Restrictions on entering the country with the purpose of attending the university and on travelling abroad have been lifted. Foreign missions can be initiated only by travellers holding immunity certificates (electronic or physical). Participants of foreign missions shall collect information (recommended information:  Consular Services (kormany.hu)) on the epidemic category of the given destination country, and on any special rules in force in the given country.

Event organisation

Events with personal presence may be held without limiting the number of participants, either in the buildings of the University, or organised by the University at an external location, and joint trips of non-education purposes can also be organised.
