Eduline: Corvinus significantly increases the number of tuition-free places for the next academic year in the Hungarian market

This is good news for applicants: according to data from felvi.hu, the number of tuition-free, scholarship-funded places has risen at almost every university this year — and Corvinus stands out among them, Eduline reports.
While many institutions kept their quotas unchanged, most universities expanded their tuition-free options by several hundred places. The biggest increases were recorded by Eötvös Loránd University (+878 places), the University of Debrecen (+490), Corvinus University of Budapest (+280), and the University of Szeged (+237).
However, it is important to put these figures into context. 32 universities reduced the number of state-funded places, while Corvinus has been increasing its tuition-free places year after year. The largest decreases were seen at the top two institutions on this year’s list: ELTE, where the quota dropped by 2,062 places, followed by the University of Debrecen, with a reduction of more than 800 places. Corvinus, on the other hand, expanded its scholarship-funded places by 245 last year as well.
