Does the Triple Crown make a Corvinus degree more valuable?

Corvinus University has been awarded EQUIS accreditation for three years, making it the first university in Hungary to join the exclusive group of Triple Crown institutions, which comprises just 1% of the world’s business schools. But how does this affect the value of degrees held by current and former students?

In business education, the “Triple Crown” refers to an institution holding three major international business accreditations simultaneously:

By achieving the Triple Crown, Corvinus has joined an exclusive group: currently, only 153 institutions worldwide – less than one percent of business schools – hold all three accreditations. Corvinus now holds this distinction alongside prestigious higher education institutions such as INSEAD in France, Aarhus University in Denmark, King’s College London and Norwegian Business School. Corvinus is the first university in Hungary and the eighth in Central and Eastern Europe to join this group.

A few years ago, we tried to estimate and quantify the value of a Corvinus degree based on data from Hungary’s Graduate Career Tracking System. We found, for example, that a Corvinus graduate with a degree in Business Administration and Management earns approximately 30% more than graduates of other universities. The Triple Crown is now expected to further increase the value of a Corvinus degree – not only for those graduating from the university in the coming years, but also for alumni who already hold a Corvinus degree:
