Krisztina Demeter receives the EurOMA Fellowship Award

The EurOMA Fellowship Award is granted to members in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Operations Management (OM) research and education in Europe, as well as their dedicated service to EurOMA and the European OM community. The award was presented at the 33rd Annual EurOMA Conference on 29 June 2026, in Vienna. 

Krisztina Demeter has been a faculty member at Corvinus University of Budapest since 1991. She is Professor at the Institute of Operations and Decision Sciences, Head of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and holds the Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences title. She teaches courses in production, service, and supply chain management in both Hungarian and English.  

As a researcher, she has led and participated in numerous national and international research projects, and regularly publishes in leading academic journals.  

She is actively involved in the international scientific community through several professional organizations, serves as a member of the Management Science Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and is the founder of the Lean Division of the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Society (MLBKT).  

Her current research focuses on production strategy, global production networks, servitization, and lean management.
