Corvinus success: outstanding results in two competitions

Corvinus sudents have achieved outstanding results, with several of them among this year’s award winners of the IAB Hungary and K&H STEM competitions.

Innovation and finance: podium finish at the K&H STEM competition 

The K&H STEM competition aims to support the professional development of university students studying in digital and technological fields, while also responding to the ongoing digitalisation of the financial sector. 

Our student, Dóra Somlai, was awarded second place with her thesis titled “Reflexive agent-based simulation in the Hungarian stock market.” In her research, she used a behavioural model to examine how investor expectations shape the processes of the Hungarian capital market, with a particular focus on the psychological aspects of financial decision-making.

Among the best in digital marketing 

This year marked the seventh edition of the IAB Hungary competition titled “Best Thesis on Digital Marketing 2025”, which recognises outstanding thesis in the field of digital marketing and media. 

In the undergraduate category, Bálint Zeisler won first place with his thesis “Low-cost marketing: the brand-building role of Ryanair’s online provocation,” supervised by Dr. Tamás Viktor Csordás. In the master’s category, Dóra Urda was named the winner with her work “Augmented Beauty: The Role of Augmented Reality in Shaping Maybelline’s Digital Consumer Experience,” supervised by Dr. Zsófia Hajnalka Cserdi and Katalin Hartl.
