Corvinus takes first place in the team aggregate at the chess MEFOB

We left with 2 gold and 2 bronze medals.

The Chess MEFOB took place last week, where Corvinus won the gold medal in both the individual and team categories! In the individual category, Imre Balog, who is doing his PhD at Corvinus, came first. 

 

Players came from all over the country, with a total of 80 students and 3 teachers competing in the competitive and amateur categories. 

 

In the competitive category, the standard was very high, with several international titlists competing: one International Grandmaster, three International Masters, two Women’s International Masters, six FIDE Masters. 

 

In the team classification, Corvinus University of Budapest took first place, the silver medal went to the home team, while the bronze medal went to the players of Óbuda University.
