Changes in Foreign Language Education

The leadership of Corvinus University has decided that from the spring semester of the 2025–26 academic year, its Centre for Foreign Language Education and Research will focus its resources on English and German language training, as well as teaching Hungarian as a foreign language. Only 7% of students are currently taking part in the other language courses, mostly at beginner level. Instead of the other language courses previously offered by its own staff, Corvinus will introduce a new training model through agreements with external providers, embassies and cultural institutes. For example, Portuguese language teaching has been operating in this model since this semester.
