Change in the method of calculating extra points for language exam certificates

This year it will be possible to award extra points for specific partial language exam certificates once more.

Similar to last year, in the 2021 general admission (potential additional admission) procedures of higher education extra points can be awarded again for minimum B2 (intermediate level) written or oral partial exam certificates For providing only a written language exam certificate

at intermediate level (B2) 28 extra points,
at advanced level (C1) 40 extra points will be awarded.

For providing only an oral language exam certificate

at intermediate level (B2) 14 extra points,
at advanced level (C1) 20 extra points will be awarded.

This modification will be automatically transferred by the Educational Authority and the concerned applicants will soon be able to view the correct points via E-Applications.

Anyone who failed to upload their certificate or provide information due to passing only a written or oral exam will be able to do so by 8 July, the deadline established for supplying additional documents:

for a language exam passed after 1 January 2003 the relevant details must be supplied under the menu item ‘Information from Authentic Public Records’,
for a language exam passed before 1 January 2003 the relevant certificate must be uploaded under the menu item ‘Documents’ (Attach a New Document).
