CEEPUS Study Visit in Slovenia with Tourism Specialization Students and Academic Staff

In April 2026, tourism students participated in a four-day international study visit in Maribor and Ljubljana in frame of the CEEPUS program, where they expanded their knowledge and further developed their collaboration skills in an international environment.

The study visit featured a professional day organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences of the University of Maribor, where students gained insight into the institution’s educational and research activities and also visited the university’s botanical garden, which operates as a tourist attraction.

Participants took part in city exploration tasks in international groups, fostering the development of both professional and intercultural connections. As part of the program, a professional visit was organized in Ljubljana to the B&B Hotel Ljubljana Park, where General Manager Nebojša Janić delivered a presentation on sustainable hotel operations and current challenges in the industry. Additional elements of the study visit included a workshop on sustainable nutrition and a wine tasting in Meranovo, where students gained practical experience in the relationship between sustainability and gastronomy.

The program provided an excellent opportunity for participants to deepen their professional knowledge and expand their international networks.
