Carnival Spirit & Film Screening at the Gellért Campus
On February 26, we say goodbye to winter with a special community evening at the Gellért Campus. The event kicks off with a folk music celebration and concludes with an exclusive dance film screening and a meet-the-creators session.
Programme:

17:00 – Carnival Warm-up (Lounge): Live folk music featuring musicians from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and the Közgáz Dance Ensemble. Join us for group singing and free dancing—no prior experience required!

18:00 – Film Screening (Auditorium): A screening of the dance film “Magyar menyegző” (Hungarian Wedding, 2025). The story follows two young people on a life-changing journey through Transylvania in the late 1970s.

Podium Discussion: Following the screening, we will hold a discussion with director Csaba Káel, editor Lili Makk, and dance anthropologist Nóra Ábrahám.

Admission: Free, but registration is required.
