At the festive general meeting held on the day of Saint Stephen, the title of Honorary Citizen of Székesfehérvár was awarded to dr. András Lánczi, philosopher, political scientist, professor and Széchenyi Prize winner, the former rector of the Corvinus University of Budapest. In his appraisal, it was pointed out that as a leader of the University, he supported the constructive cooperation between the town and the University, and thus contributed to the development of higher education at Székesfehérvár.
