“In my eyes, Corvinus has always been one of the best universities in the country, and I think I would have been happy to study any program there. But I’m especially glad I ended up in Commerce and Marketing,” says Szilvi Gulyás, co-owner and Head of Marketing of Félegyházi Bakery.
According to Szilvi, the Commerce and Marketing program at Corvinus provided not only solid professional knowledge but also instilled a leadership mindset — something she finds invaluable today as the employer of 1,500 people.
Szilvi’s path to joining the family business was not a straight one, but her brother Gergő was determined from the very beginning to carry on their father’s legacy: “They say that what you see as a role model at home tends to stick with you. For me, it was never a question that one day I would become an entrepreneur too.”
Gergő Gulyás, the company’s co-owner and Chief Commercial Officer, first completed the Food Industry program at Corvinus and later earned a degree in Economics: “For me, the greatest value I gained from Corvinus was learning how to think in systems,” he adds.
Founded in 1999 as a milling business in Kiskunfélegyháza, the company has gone through numerous developments and modernizations over the years, most of which are tied to the Gulyás siblings’ leadership.
