The Order of Merit of Hungary is one of the country’s highest state honours. Its ranks are conferred on individuals who, in the fields of culture, science, the arts, or their own professional domain, pursue exemplary activities in the service of advancing Hungary’s interests and enriching universal human values. The decorations are awarded by the President of Hungary, upon the recommendation and countersignature of the Prime Minister or a minister.

Anthony Radev received the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary from Gergely Gulyás at the Museum of Ethnography on 15 August.

Between 2019 and 2024, Radev, as President of Corvinus University of Budapest, oversaw the renewal of the institution.

Congratulations on his award!
