The documentary was screened in the university library at 17:00 on 2 March, precisely 25 years after her death. In the film, her colleagues and friends recalled and remembered her professional career, her life, and the exceptional pedagogical sense and human dignity that characterised her teaching.

Katalin Dr. Lányi Garai was a notable teacher at the Department of World Economics. Her research and teaching work focused primarily on the economic integration of the European Union, particularly on the operation of the economic and monetary union. Her work was characterised by a comprehensive understanding of international perspectives, a high level of proficiency in foreign languages, and the systematic interpretation of economic processes. As a teacher, she considered it particularly important to teach her students the world economic processes in an easily understandable and thought-provoking way.

The documentary was made by Pál Lányi, who continues to care for his late wife’s legacy with love and is committed to preserving her memory, thoughts, and intellectual heritage.

Not only her family members, but also several colleagues and friends attended the event, many of them are affiliated with the university. The guests had the opportunity to see a selection of the most important books by Katalin Dr. Lányi Garai, as well as articles and publications on her career, provided by Pál Lányi and the university library.
